Most Downloads Working Again
Posted by Fenwar on Saturday, January 17, 2004 - 23:40 (EST)

I'm having trouble getting the domain df-21.org back in action at present, so you've got the next best thing - all downloads have been transferred to http://df-21.net/downloads/ as of now.

And they work, although a couple of more recent files may be missing until someone else restores them (I don't have copies of all the most recent releases). Please also let us know (by posting in the feedback forum) if you spot any links to downloads still pointing to ftp://df-21.org/ (except on this page). Thanks.

Muchos apologias for the inconvenience.

Time to hang up the plasma cannon...

As you may have noticed, there's been an increasing lack of activity on my part here at DF-21. That's been mainly due to Real Life. I'm pleased to say I'm getting married this September, and this and other changes have simply meant that I haven't had time for the site.

I decided to step down from the staff just before Christmas & have already been able to find someone foolish enough to take up the reins... ;-) You'll be pleased to know that DF-21 will be in sound hands. I'll still be around until the new incumbent is fully settled in so this is by no means the last you've heard of me.

It's been a pleasure being at the helm of DF-21 and part of the team here. A big thank you to everyone who has helped (or even just volunteered to help) over the last three years.

All the best,

-Paul 'Fenwar' Fenney

Proper Order of Things Restored

That's right. Everyone's most marginally acceptable leader is back. 'Scape Goat' has returned... Those of you who are more recent visitors to DF-21 may be wondering whether or not this is a good thing. Allow me to confirm your fears:

In case you didn't know, my name is Kevin Buscemi, affectionately referred to as "Scape Goat". Author of several DF levels (Beyond Glory 1 & 2, Discovery at Ironfort), one of founders of this site and its predecessor, semiprofessional procrastinator, and so on...

As for the future, I've got a few ideas that I want to do. At least for a while, though, don't expect any sort of major reworkings or new features. I must admit to having been out of the loop for a while so I'm really not sure of anything that's been going on over the past few months or so. If you've got something you'd like to see done (or there's something that the old regime never got around to) head on over to the feedback section of the forum or let me know directly.

Funny how things work out sometimes...

- Kevin "Scape Goat" Buscemi
