3/5/99

Thanks to my good buddy LeviathanQ, a couple of bugs were fixed.
Apparently these were bugs in the original BFP2 that I just forgot
to correct. This version should be fully compatible with the older
version of GobBFP2.

-Kenny Skin should no longer crash when selected
-GoldenWolf Skin should no longer crash when selected
-Lara Croft and Miko characters use correct sounds in JK

BIG FLUFFY PACK 2
JKBFP2 (Gobbed Version)

I accept no credit whatsoever for this modification.

All skins and other text files are the creations of their
respective owners. Used with permission from JKMAG.

----------------------

All I did was take the JK version of BFP2 (from JKMAG's site)
and install it. Then I took ALL the files it installed
and put them into one gob file.

***

I also had to rename some files, as they were causing errors
because of the case. I also removed the green mat error
on the Veamon skin, and added a BM for the "psychedelic" saber
and a main screen BM for BFP2 that was taken from a bmp file
that came with the original zip file.

All of the "illegal" skins.. that is skins that used textures and
models from Mysteries of the Sith have been removed. After all,
you can just play MOTS and use them there right?

Skins removed from JK BFP2: Ithorian, Dark Undead, Noghri, Dark Trooper.

Also, the face of Captain Kirk was replaced with the Katarn face.
The original face was simply Karenobi's face from MOTS. I didn't
want to remove the skin, so I just replaced the texture.

These MOTS additions were not the fault of the skin authors, but
simply an oversite on the part of JKMAG. All of them can still
be used in the MOTS BFP2.

***

In my opinion, this is something that should have been done
in the first place.. but oh well. Hopefully future editions of
BFP will follow suite.

The only difference between using this GOBBED patch and the original
BFP2 is that in order to use this patch all players must have it.

However since JKMAG requires all their members to have BFP2 ANYWAY,
then this shouldn't be a problem.

--------------------
HOW TO RUN GOB BFP2:
====================
To run, simply make a new folder under your JediKnight folder.
Call it "bfp2" or something like that and then go to MS DOS Prompt
(the dos box) and type (from your jediknight dir):

jk -path bfp2

and it should load up perfectly.
You might alternately try using JK Patch Commander to run the gob
file.

----------------------------------------

This gobbing process does a few things:

- saves memory.. now your 3do, mat, misc, etc folders aren't cluttered
with hundreds of files, plus the gob itself takes up less memory than
all those loose files.

- easy to use.. now if you choose to run it, you can. Just one gob,
nothing else to worry about. If you decide not to use it, fine,
don't run the gob. It's easy to remove... just delete the gob
if you don't want it anymore.

- smaller file.. the zip is smaller, so more people will be able to
get it more quickly, spread the fun around.

The Purpose of gobbing is just to make it easier to use and less
taxing on your hardware system. If you prefer not to use gobbed
files, then by all means don't use this and get the original BFP2
(available from JKMAG's website: http://www.jediknight.net/jkmag/)

I am also doing a GOOed version of BFP2 for MOTS, look for it soon.

However, before you ignore this patch, I suggest you try it out
and see how you like it compared to the "old" one. ; )

Thanks.
