New Demo
Posted by Jackson on Monday, November 1, 2004 - 18:55 (EST)

As you may have noticed already, the team behind Dark Forces: A Mod for Jedi Academy has released their second demo, which includes the first three Dark Forces missions. Danuta, Talay's Tak Base and Anoat City have been enhanced not only by the JA engine but also by the authors, who have successfully managed to expand upon the locales while staying true to the classic look and feel of DF.

Even their current splash page (from which the above image has been borrowed) is a testament to the hard work and long hours that have been put in to produce a demo of this quality. Although dial-up users may cringe at the demo's not exactly "bite size" byte size, this is still definitely a highly recommended download.

(Thanks to Tom Resnick for bringing the news to our attention, and to Darth Oosha for recommending this story as front page news.)

Apologies for the temporary loss of service...

Our account was temporarily suspended due to reports of spam originating from the domain. I'm currently looking into things but don't worry, all our data seems to be intact. However as a precaution I'm disabling all scripts including the forums until I'm sure they're not compromising our security.

Thanks for your patience.

File uploads. Projects. Not Screenshots.

File uploads are back on, in case you had anything worth releasing.

Projects are back on, in case you had anything worth mentioning.

I'm not very au fait with that script so I may not have set all the permissions that need to be set, yet. Let me know if there are any problems.

Screenshots should be back this weekend.

It's fine. It's back on.

Jackson has already said what's going to happen so hopefully you'll be voting soon.

Now that we've gone to all this trouble, please don't forget to vote.

Please.

Minor SotW Snafu

A few minutes before today's poll was set to open, I realized that polls held in our forums only have room for ten choices. This week, we have thirteen screenshots to choose from.

After usin' the ol' noggin a bit, I decided to set up a two polls. However, this system proved to be ineffective (not to mention confusing), and I've since taken it down.

Now, I think I've finally got it... you can visit the new poll thread here. Anyone who voted in the previous poll are welcome to vote again -- this time for any TWO screenshots!

Sorry for the inconvenience!
