Anyway, over the next few weeks, I hope to add some new features to this site. This will include a "Most Recent Levels" box (remember DF99?) and a monthly poll. With that said, you can expect the amount of updates to pick up a bit from here on out.

Remember how I released the GOB of Library a little while back? Well....There's been a majour setback.

An important feature of the LFD (it will remain unnamed, this is a surprise, remember?) was lost somewhere. It took me about 2-3 hours to make it, now I'm going to have to do it again. That means it could be the end of the week before this single feature is done....so consequently, you'll have to wait longer.

The last four pages of GAdRS' Class for DF Editing has been added. You can read it in its entirety on the Articles page.

The following was posted on the message board by Matt Hallaron regarding the recently released Dark Tide: Episode 1:

Due to some kind of MAC/PC conversion bug, some of the files in the darktide.zip were screwed up. There also seemed to be an error or two in files within darktide.gob.
These errors have been fixed, and the corrected file is now on The Dark Tide page.

If you don't want to reload the file, then you can do what I did and fix it all manually. However, we offer no guarantee that it will work, proceed at your own risk.

1) Unzip darktide.zip (you should have already done that)
2) Open darktide.bat in a text editor. Hit a space somewhere, then delete it (this to make sure your text editor sees there is a change and wants to change it.) Save the batch file.

This will fix that initial loading bug. However, the cutscenes will not load, so do the following:
3) Make a new folder. Go into your favourite DF Editor (like WDFUSE), and Ungob darktide.gob into this new folder.
4) Take cutscene.lst and cutmuse.txt into your text editor. Do the same thing you did on the batch file, so you can resave the files. (You could also change cutscene.lst to read CUTS 13, but I don't think it really matters - my oversight, my bad.)
5) Re-gob the file (presumeably into darktide.gob)
6) Enjoy!

I also added an information column to my page. Note - I deleted the REVIEW column. What does that tell you? I think I'll concentrate on getting levels. I've currently got 111 levels posted on that page! Xoom must be having a heart attack right now :)
