OPERATION FORTRA MISSION BRIEFING

Captain Marton Fortra has bombed the planet of Bespin. in retaliation for this attack we have enlisted the help of you, Kyle Katarn to bring this man to justice.  Here is the intel we have on him and his recent activities:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Imperial Star Destroyer ISD Valeiax (Pronounced: Valyarx)  today bombarded the planet of Bespin, diminishing them of their supplies of Tibanna gas. Not only that, but they took out an outlying mining colony in the process, killing roughly 19,000 of the population. Those that were not killed were simply left to die in the smog of the gas. The Rebellion feels it is necessary to do something about this to stop further acts of violence. It is his suggestion that the strike be against the Captain of the Valeiax,  Lieutenant Commander Marton Fortra, an experienced Imperial Naval Officer with some years of experience behind him. His dossier is included in the attached files. What we deem the most efficient way to deal with him, is just to assassinate him. Not the most politically correct of procedures, but the most politically advantageous move for the rebellion.
Fortra, being a successful Imperial officer has a very comfortable fortress/ home on the out-of-the-way planet, Huston in the Mon Calamari sector. The data on this planet is included in the attached files. Also are holos of the House and outlying area taken by A-Wings on recon missions.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Information on Marton Fortra:

Lieutenant Commander Marton Fortra is approximately 35 years old. He was born and raised by His parents in the system of Coruscant. His parents were Rebel sympathizers and were bring Fortra up to join the Rebellion in the hope it might save them from the Empire. When the Imperial recruitment troops came to Fortra's planet when he was 15 he marveled at the Victory Class Star Destroyers that they had at the time, and the Stormtroopers all identical. When he told his parents about these wonders they tried to persuade him to block out the Empire, and they said to their son that they were Rebel sympathizers. Fortra killed both his parents and reported it to the local Imperial authorities that they were traitors. Fortra was congratulated for doing this by the Empire and they sent off to the officer trainee camps where his devout Imperialism soon got him in various classes of command, steadily rising to his present command of the ISD Valeiax.

Present Status of Marton Fortra's house:

The security around Fortra is tight. He can afford it, and his Imperial masters value him highly so expend Imperial forces to watch him night and day. Their is a garrison of standard Stormtroopers, with the proper commanding officers. A squad of elite commandos who patrol the building complex and an armored AT-AT and maybe 4 AT-ST's which keep guard round the main entrance to an old Imperial production facility.

We know for pretty much certain that their is the following on guard night and day at his house:

30   Standard stormtroopers issued with laser rifles.
5     Officer stormtroopers with Imperial repeaters
15   Elite commandos with laser rifles
1     All Terrain Armored Transport
    All Terrain Scout Transport
Any amount of droid/ mechanical repellants
Any number of miscellaneous staff.

We assume their are administrative personnel and higher up officers commanding the troops and looking after the running of the complex. Also we know that Fortra has a mistress, a Twi-Lek by the name of Gui' Aboath. She may be there with Fortra when you attack. We do not want her harmed because of diplomatic relations with Ryloth.
When at his house, Fortra spends most of his time in his  specially sealed living quarters. Their are special locks on these doors that we have not been able to make a way around. It seems that you will have to shut the power down first to disable these locks or find an over-ride switch.  We advise you to keep away from the garrison side of the complex as always the troops take shifts, one half rests while the other guards. Knocking out the power will not be difficult. There will be guards but probably only a couple of Troopers. Once inside you should attach a couple of  Mines to the couplings and stand back. After this point, you should proceed as fast as possible to the Living quarters and take out Fortra as soon as you see him. Do not hang around, as Fortra will probably be making his escape when the power goes. We believe he could have some kind of underground escape route but we are not certain. Once Fortra is dead your mission objectives have been completed and you may return home.
Any over-ride switch would be not in any area open to anybody. To find a switch like this might be hard.

Information on the planet Huston:

Huston is a volcanic planet with large rocky islands and big mountains, some of which are extinct volcanoes. The planet was renamed Huston after the main skirmishes of the Galactic civil war because of the fierce fighting that took place in the planets atmosphere. Huston was the name of the Imperial commander who took the planet. Unfortunately the planet was deemed too invaluable for a Rebel strike against the planet to retake it for the New Republic. The planets original name was Sigma Vulcanis. Some fissures in the surface still lead down to the molten slag beneath the crust, which are very deep. Intelligent life on the planet is sparse. It isn't really anything more than a world for Fortra. He is the most powerful man on the planet. There are no towns and no capital city.

Description            :

Kyle was woken up by the sound of Jan opening the door to his small quarters.
She turned around and Kyle slowly opened his eyes. "Oh Kyle, you look a state! What time did
you get to bed this morning?" Kyle tried to sit upright, failed when he saw it was only 7 o'clock
and slid back down. "Ohhh. about 4 I think. Still hazy... I think I was out on he surface, at that bar
called, oh forget it. I knew I should have slept on the crow. These quarters are so small even a
Selonian water beetle would find it cramped." Jan, Kyle noticed was a little more glum than usual.
"What's up Jan. You've usually rattled off your life story by the this time usually?" He asked.
"Oh, nothing. The commander of this station says he has some work for us, and seeing as we are
staying here free of charge, I think you better see what the guy wants. Sounds like a mission."
Kyle sat up and grumbled something about "chilly asteroid air" as Jan walked out. He got up and
out of bed, pulling on his Jacket and boots, clipping his Bryar to his belt. "I better go see what
        this joker wants."
